Every dot is a position row in tracking.rete — a spatiotemporal graph storing the 2D location of each player and the ball, ~5 frames/second, on a 105×68 m pitch (query it in the playground). This page fetches the positions from R2 and interpolates between frames to animate. The heatmap layer is just an aggregation of that graph — every tr:x/tr:y for a player, team, or the ball, binned over the whole match into an occupancy density.
